GONALONS: 'I'VE FOUND A CLUB WHERE I CAN PLAY MY GAME'

The French midfielder, happy after his return to the pitch, stated 'I've been away for two and a half months, I want to contribute again'

Maxime Gonalons' presence was one of the pleasant surprises in the win against Espanyol, as he returned to the team after more than two months out: 'It's good to win against a team who were second in the table and who made life really difficult for us, in the second half we showed that we wanted the win. We should congratulate all the team because they played a great match tonight.

Although the scoreline was turned around, the away side continued to create danger: 'It was complicated. They opened the scoring, but we reacted well and went for the win. We had a lot of good chances in the second half, but Espanyol are dangerous and we had to be careful with the ball. Now we have 15 days to rest and prepare for the next game.'

The midfielder wants to take advantage of all the time he has to recover: 'I've had this problem which has kept me from the pitch for two and a half months. I'm really happy to have found a club where I feel good and I can play my game. I want to bring something to this team and the fans, so where better than here to acheive my goals this season.'

Second in the league, he hopes to push even further: 'The goal is to qualify for the Champions League, in a competition as hard as this we have to do very well to achieve that. Every team is hard to beat.'
