DELOITTE RANKS SEVILLA FC 21ST IN THE 2022 FOOTBALL MONEY LEAGUE

The prestigious consultancy firm Deloitte in the last few hours has published its annual Football Money League 2022 report in which it ranks European clubs with the highest incomes. In this, Sevilla FC have been included in 21st position in the table with a total of 199.5 million euros for the 2020/21 season. This puts them in fourth place nationally, only behind Real Madrid, who are second with 640.7 million, FC Barcelona, fourth with 582.1 million; as well as Atlético Madrid, who are 13th with 332.8 million. 

The ranking is dominated by Manchester City with 644.9 million, who are accompanied in the top 20 by 10 other clubs from the Premier League - Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Leicester, West Ham, Everton and Aston Villa. From Germany Bayern and Dortmund feature while from France only PSG. From Italy there are Juventus and Inter while from Russia there is Zenit. 

The total income of the 20 biggest clubs rose to 8.178 billion euros, higher than the 8.162 billion from the year before - a year affected by the covid-19 pandemic. In the 2018/19 season it rose to a record 9.3 billion euros. The study estimates the losses from the health crisis were around 2 billion euros. After Sevilla, the top 25 is rounded off in order by Leeds, Roma, Atalanta and Southampton.
