Loïc Badé is looking forward to getting started and showing his quality after joining the club from Stade Rennais.

The centre-back gave his first interview as a Sevillista to Official Media after signing on loan until the end of the season.

To begin, he spoke about his first impressions of the club.

"The welcome has been incredible because this is the first time that so many people have come to meet me at the airport. It was incredible. There seems to be a friendly atmosphere here."

"I know Sevilla is a big club that has won a lot of trophies, the club has some big-name players and Sevilla is a great city. Everything here seems great."

"I feel very good and I'm ready to play"

Badé is very keen to play and believes he is ready to make his debut.

"I wasn’t playing when I was at Nottingham Forest, but I work very hard in training because I want to play. I'm young and I needed to play. I can't wait to start playing here, I feel very good and I'm ready to play."

The defender then spoke about his style of play and linking up with fellow Frenchman, Tanguy Nianzou.

"For a defender, I think I am quick, I am quite technical and strong, and I think I am well-suited to this league. Playing in a back three or a back four isn’t the same, but I can play in either system. I think I am an intelligent player and I am going to be able to show that."

"It'll be better and easier to play alongside Nianzou because he is French. We'd be able to communicate and everything will be easier."

Badé then commented on the pressure of joining Sevilla, and the "example" of a former Sevillista and a fellow Frenchman in Jules Koundé.

"For me, feeling pressure in football is normal, especially when you want to play at the top level. I think that's good and I think I can handle it."

"Of course, what Koundé achieved here has been an example for me and I hope I will follow in his footsteps."

"I hope I can help bring the club back to where it belongs"

The defender believes he has his own style of play, but he looks towards top French defenders to improve his game.

"I think I have my own style of play, but I do look at other defenders and I focus on their attributes, such as Koundé, Varane, and Upamecano, but I don’t think we all have the same style of play."

To finish, Badé wished to send a message to the fans.

"I am very happy to be here and I hope I can help bring the club back to where it belongs."
