Without a doubt, the positive to take away from last night's elimination was Sevilla FC showing once more how they reached that stage. It also brought a stop to the run of losses following the first defeat against Dortmund, barring the win in Pamplona. Furthermore, it saw leading goalscorer Youssef En-Nesyri get back on the scoresheet, equalling Haaland and scoring a brace which gave the match the most exciting conclusion.

The Moroccan striker, La Liga's Player of the Month in January, had not scored since the intense 3-0 league win over Getafe CF. A nearly month-long drought was in stark contrast to the month of January where he scored seven goals. En-Nesyri, 23 years old, is now on 19 goals this season and closes his first ever UEFA Champions League campaign with six goals, the second best performance of a Sevilla striker in the Club's history. Only Wissam Ben Yedder has managed more, scoring eight goals in the 2017/18 season.

Last night's brace moved En-Nesyri up to second place in the Champions League scoring charts, with only Haaland's ten goals above him. Youssef is level on goals with the eliminated Morata and Rashford, as well as Neymar and Giroud. En-Nesyri's six goals have come in three braces, one in Nervión against Krasnodar and two away against Rennes and Dortmund. Only Haaland again beats this feat, adding two braces against Club Bruges to his doubles against Sevilla.
