Matheus Cunha opened the scoring for Brazil in the closing stages of the first half, before Mikel Oyarzabal equalised after an hour of play. Unai Simón was busy in goal to try and avoid a Brazilian winner, however in the final 15 minutes of extra-time, Malcom scored for Brazil to retain Olympic Gold four years after winning the tournament on home turf.

Sevilla FC want to congratulate Diego Carlos on his success, and for being a representative of the club at the Olympics.
