Daniel Carriço, one of Sevilla FC's captains, evaluated the defeat in Liège which leaves qualification up in the air: 'We started well, we controlled the first half. They dropped back well and did a good job marking. We had chances and weren't clinical. There are no easy games in Europe, they did their homework well and had more luck. Their goal came after a strange passage of play but we should have been more compact.'
'We kept pushing until the end. With a bit more patience we could have achieved something more. It's difficult being a man down. We have to focus on ourselves even if it's difficult. It's in our hands. I'm sure that we'll go onto the next round playing in front of our fans at our pitch. We can't let this result affect. It wasn't our best game but I don't think it was the worst either,' the Portuguese finished.
