Joaquín Caparrós, Sevilla FC's manager, held a press conference today in the build-up to the match against CD Leganés, highlighting that 'tomorrow is the most important game. The players have to show what they're capable of against a tough team in Leganés. We all have to show up tomorrow, the team and the fans.'

'Leganés compete very well in a tough league. They know what they're doing and they do it very well. They have specialist players and they know how they want to play. They get the most out of what they have. Everyone is playing for something at the end of the season so everyone is at 100%, we have to be at our best too.'

'We have a chance tomorrow to improve on the game against Girona'

Regarding the Girona game, Caparrós stated 'we are not happy with our performance. But we always have to watch both praise and criticism from a distance, you have to be analytical. We are well aware of our poor performance and we have a chance tomorrow to set it right.' The coach also commented on the team's form away from the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán: 'I will keep my analysis to myself and the footballers.'

'What happened with Banega is now history. We had the relevant conversations within the club at the time. He is a very important player but now that he's not available we have to think about the ones that are. We have to focus on tomorrow,' the manager responded regarding Banega's sending off against Girona CF.

'Strikers go through runs of form. Let's hope Ben Yedder rediscovers his because his goals are vital for us'

Regarding Carriço and Gonalons' injuries, Caparrós stated 'We have to be careful with Carriço's injury because it's the kind of one that can suffer a setback at any time. We hope he'll be ready but we aren't sure. We will see if we can call Gonalons up and if he'll be able to play or not.'

'André is a great footballer, just like Munir, Mudo... Strikers go through runs of form and we hope Ben Yedder rediscovers his because his goals are vital for us,' Caparrós answered regarding Ben Yedder's lack of goals recently.'

'It would be a disappointment not to qualify for the Champions League but there are still games to ensure we do'

Regarding the team's immediate future, Caparrós stated 'it would be a disappointment not to get into the Champions League. If we get into the Europa League it would be another year there, something that is not easy at all, but we want the Champions League. We are focused on tomorrow's game which is going to be very difficult.'

Caparrós finished the press conference by giving a comforting message to Íker Casillas after the goalkeeper suffered a heart attack. 'We are delighted he is in a stable condition. We cannot believe it and we are happy there is good news.'
