Two interventions on top of the chairman's response passed the third order of the day in the Shareholders' Assembly of 2017 - approving the Board's management of the club for the 2016/17 campaign by 57.05% of votes. The first, raised by shareholder Agustín Martínez called José Castro's loyalty to the club into question - accusing the chairman of using the club for personal finance; moreover, the intervention questioned the removal of Biris' Norte's banners and the departure of Monchi (which he blamed on Castro).

Eduardo Arenas, of the United Shareholders, responded by asking Martínez to not look to destabilise matters, while José Castro himself was cutting: "Mr Martínez, you do you not care about Sevilla at all" - explaining the reasoning behind the removal and subsequent return of the Biris banner, the ins and outs of accounts that are "all accounted for" and then went on to deny that he was responsible for the departure of Monchi.
