The report 'Sevilla's first time in the quarter-finals of the European Cup', shown by Bein Sports before our match against Bayern Munich in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, has been awarded first place in the ninth edition of the José Antonio Blázquez Journalism Awards.

In the report, Bein recalls the first time that Sevilla played in the quarter-finals of Europe's top competition, 60 years before the match against Bayern. He does so with a piece that recalls the legendary players of Marcelo Campanal and Antonio Valero, two of the survivors against that tie against Real Madrid, in which Campanal himself was sent off in the away leg.

Sevilla FC outline the thoroughness and well-worked nature of the report that recalls a time of greatness for Sevilla with great taste. Sevilla also recognise the focus and good coverage that Bein Sports gave of Sevilla's historic run in last year's Champions League.

The second place of the Blázquez Award went to the article ´Bendita exigencia', published in Marca.com and the Diara Marca after Sevilla secured their passage to the final of the Copa del Rey on 8 February. The article, written by the journalist Alberto Fernández Lorenzo, reflects with an undeniable precisión of the idiosyncrasies of our club, characterised by a 'blessed non-conformism' by the fans which has driven the club to play close to 18 finals in barely 12 years.

In his article, Fernández compares Sevilla fans' treatment of their team with that of a father of his son. 'Let them stay afloat in tough times and don't let them relax in easier times, caring for the club like a father does for his son. Demanding a lot of them so everything goes well for them, even hammering home their mistakes, but with a love that only those lucky enough to be loved understand. The same goes for the team you carry in your heart. Everything for a crest. I'm demanding of you because I love you.
