The 2019/20 season is finished in Europe, and the matchup for the 2020 UEFA Super Cup has now been confirmed. On Thursday 24th September, at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Sevilla FC will face Bayern Munich, who, curiously, have won their sixth European Cup after defeating PSG in the final in Lisbon. A second-half header from Kingsley Coman was the only goal of the match.

Sevilla FC are actually just in front of the Bavarian side in UEFA Super Cup history. The Nervionenses have won the trophy once (2006), and have been runners-up four times (2007, 2014, 2015, 2016). Bayern also have onewon in 2013 against Chelsea, but lost in their other three appearances against Dinamo Kiev in 1975, Anderlecht in 1976, and Liverpool in 2001. Lopetegui's men will look to win it for the second time in what will be their second final against a non-Spanish side. The only tie between the two sides came in the 2017/18 UCL quarter finals.
