BANEGA FORCED OFF WITH HAMSTRING PAIN AND NASAL CONTUSION

The only bit of bad news to come out of the Copa del Rey semi-final was on the medical side. Argentine midfielder Éver Banega was forced off in the final stretch of the match through injury - substituted for Guido Pizarro. According to the Club's medical team, Banega suffered a knock in his left hamstring and a nasal contusion. Further medical tests will reveal the extent of his injuries.
