Alex Telles, Sevilla FC left-back, was the guest on Thursday night's 'A balón parado', where the Brazilian international analysed the current state of the team and how he's getting on. Telles began by stressing that "yesterday wasn't a very good day for us, but we have to keep working. We know what we are going through at the moment, neither the club, the fans nor ourselves like it."

"I came here to enjoy my football and to win, and I'm enjoying it but not winning as I wanted. It's a sad moment but we have to keep going and work harder because in football things change very quickly and that is up to us."

The Brazilian, recently called up to play for his country in the World Cup, also stated that "anyone who knows me knows that I take each moment as they come. I'll start thinking about the World Cup on Monday, which is when I'm going to travel. Now I'm here at work with my teammates. Sevilla brought me here and put faith in me and that deserves my respect. It doesn't surprise me to act like that, it's my job and that's how I have to do it."

"I follow Spanish football and Sevilla are always at the top, playing in the big competitions and winning titles. Óliver came to Sevilla, Tecatito came too and they spoke very well of the club. They have a beautiful history and it's a beautiful city and I'm very happy here," explained the full-back, explaining why he chose to come to Sevilla FC.

Finally, the Brazilian was very positive about the future of the team after the break: "We need to fix the situation. The fans are worried, we know the passion they have and the history of the club. We are sad because we work hard and try a lot of things but we don't get the results. We hold ourselves to high standards and when we don't get what we want it's tough."

"Yesterday with the two-man disadvantage we were playing very well, pressing... With eleven we have to be better and better, have that mentality and in the second half of the championship we will be totally different."
