The strength of Sevilla FC continues to break new records. Last week's win against Wolves brought up nineteen consecutive matches unbeaten, breaking the record set by Ramón Encimas's Sevilla in 1935, but last night's win over Manchester United means the club have gone 20 matches unbeaten for the first time in their history, with fifteen in LaLiga and five in the UEFA Europa League.

The last time the Nervionenses were beaten came over six months ago, on 9th February, a 2-1 defeat against Celta de Vigo at Balaídos. Since that match, Sevilla FC have won eight league matches and three UEFA Europa League matches, against AS Roma, Wolves and Manchester United, and drawn seven in the league and two in the UEFA Europa League.

Julen Lopetegui's men have now played 53 official matches this season, with just one match remaining, the UEL final. They have lost just eight of those matches so far (six in the league, once in Europe and once in the Copa del Rey), meaning they have gone unbeaten in 84.9% of their matches, a stunning achievement which demonstrates the strength of the team in defence.
