Sevilla FC’s growth as a leading club in Spain on a national and international level is evident thanks to their performance on social media.

During the 2022/23 campaign, important milestones were reached, such as reaching one million followers on Chinese social media, ten million followers worldwide and overtaking Valencia to be the fourth most followed club in Spain.

Ahead of the upcoming season, the club have a total of 13.1 million followers, consolidating our position as the most followed club after Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid. That figure represents an increase of 80% in twelve months, with a well-established international reach.

The strategy of creating content adapted to each social network, each country, whilst always being in line with the club’s values, together with a commitment to digital transformation and the Strategic Internationalisation Plan, has allowed us to achieve truly remarkable results beyond our borders. Sevilla FC has been the seventh fastest growing European club in China, a country of high strategic value, and has already surpassed one million Facebook followers in the Middle East and North Africa, another key area in the club’s strategic plans. Sevilla FC are now close to surpassing three million followers in this group of countries.

The overall data could not be more satisfactory. In addition to the overall number of followers and the percentage growth, Sevilla FC's official profiles generated 92% more interactions compared to the 2021-22 campaign. The social network that experienced the greatest growth was Facebook, where 3.9 million people follow the Club's official account.

Sevilla FC is a club that is at the forefront of digitalisation and content creation. Proof of this, in addition to the aforementioned data, is the fact that, just last week, the club was the first in Spain to open its official account on Threads, the new social network linked to Instagram which is designed to set trends in the immediate future.
