This century Sevilla FC have won a third of their 1000 victories in La Liga. The team has picked up 741 wins at home - just under three-quarters in total. The club shows its dominance over Andalusian rivals, the closest of whom have 607 and 386 wins respectively

Sevilla FC, with its victory in Cornellá against RCD Espanyol, has become the sixth club in the history of Spanish football to achieve 1,000 victories in the First Division - a milestone which has only been reached by a very select few. The Nervionenses have achieved 290 wins in the 21st Century - amounting to 29% in its history as a La Liga club. The stat reflects a Sevilla improvement - with the Nervionenses having upped their average number of wins per year from 12.6 to 17 this century - with 20 wins coming in 05/06 and 07/08, 21 in 06/07, 08/09 and 16/17 then 23 in 14/15 (securing a record points haul of 76). 

Sevilla FC are the third team, alongside Atlético Madrid and Valencia to have achieved the feat without having also been relegated from the Spanish top-flight. The Nervionenses, with 74 years in the Primera División, now join an elite circle of teams to have reached the thousand; Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Club Bilbao, Valencia CF and now Sevilla FC are the six teams in the 1000 club, with 741 wins Sevillista wins coming in Nervión and 259 away from home in 2,428 matches played.

The base for success has always been Nervión. Of the thousand victories, three of four have come in the Sevillan fortress and the remaining quarter on the road. In that period, Sevilla have also picked up 533 draws, with 1,533 games unbeaten and 895 games lost. 3,706 goals have been scored in that time, with 2,388 coming at home. Trailing in the footsteps of the Nervionenses in the wins table are: Espanyol (952), Real Sociedad (870), Real Zaragoza (698) and Real Betis (613).

Of the thousand victories, nearly half have been secured against ten repeat "victims". RCD Espanyol have been beaten 67 timesAthletic Club Bilbao 53, Real Zaragoza 46, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Real Betis 43, Celta 42, Valladolid 37 and Barcelona 36. This amounts to 470 wins - just under half of Sevilla's triumphs.

Sevilla FC is the standard-bearer of Andalusia not only in titles won; it is also the dominant club and shining light in Primera División wins. The next Andalusian clubs in the Primera wins table is Real Betis (614), followed by Málaga (in its two denominations picking up 393), Granada CF (218), Cádiz CF (104), Córdoba CF (82), Almería (in its two denominations 62) , Recreativo de Huelva (50), Real Jaén (29) and Xerez (8).
