Óscar Arias touched on a few topics in the transfer window in the press room Banega and Pizarro's presentations. The sporting director confirmed that the Amavi transfer will not take place: "We had a fairly advanced operation which, as the president said, won't be executed. We will look for an alternative which had already been considered before this situation, but I wont give names as the operations are still far away from being closed."

When it comes to Vitolo, he admits that his contract extension doesn't modify the seasons planning: "He has always been there when told to. That hasn't changed. We are working on different lines and Vitolo was already in the squad, so it doesn't change anything. The players that have a contract belong to the club until they they seize to do so and Vitolo was never out."

To conclude, he referred too the negotiations for Jesús Navas, denying that it is necessary to make a decision soon: "From the start we've said that putting time limits isn't good, because it can bring to anxiety and precipitation. We have to measure our steps, we're working on it and there are reunions. Hopefully everything will go well for our interests and Jesus's."
