Bono, who salvaged the point for Sevilla FC, Lamela, who scored the equaliser and Rafa Mir were the stand-outs after the draw against Valencia CF at the Sánchez-Pizjuán.

The Sevilla goalkeeper said that, "we were surprised by the penalty, I sometimes don't know how referees interpret things. but it was given and we were lucky to get away with it. It was part instinct and part luck. We were all over them in the second half and had a very good game. We are in the process of growing and developing so that we can be better."

Rafa Mir continued, "It was a crazy game that we had the chance to win and which seemed to have it all. It's a shame we couldn't get the three points. We changed things in the second half and came out with more intensity. It's difficult to stop us when we play like that. The fans were the twelfth man, they help us a lot and the same goes for the penalty, which we could have even avoided."

Lamela, who scored the goal, concluded by stressing that "we were unlucky and it was a game that had everything. In the final moments we could have lost or won. I'm left feeling that we fought right to the end. The first half didn't go the way we wanted and in the second with the help of the crowd we managed to quieten them down. If the equaliser had come earlier I think we could have won.
