Today, as tradition has dictated in Utrera since 1964, was a day which marked the achievements of locals. It is the night on which the distinguished Mostachón de Oro award is awarded as a prelude to local festivities leading up to 'Feria'.

This year, the honour was bestowed on Sevilla club Chairman José Castro. The chairman was sounded by his loved ones as well as distinguished Utrerans.

Notable Sevillistas were also present.

Many notable Sevillistas - including Nolito - were at the ceremony

No one wanted to miss the speech of Castro, who has always carried his local identity with pride, and was especially eager to show it tonight: "I've seen a lot of the World on account of my professional obligations and my Presidency with Sevilla FC, and I have also done so with the name of Utrera on my sleeve. Are you from Seville? From Utrera and from Seville. Always from Utrera," he said.

At several points in his speech he named Bambino, a singer he has shared a friendship and 'Sevillismo' with

On more than one occasion the Chairman was close to tears, especially when remembering flamenco singer Bambino - a friend, hero, Utreran, Sevillista and fellow Mostachón de Oro winner: "Utrera is a land of song, because, with all due respect to my cherished Montoya, Bernarda, Fernanda and Perrate, the land belongs to Bambino - who I had the pleasure of knowing very closely and holds a special place in my heart owing to our shared love of Sevilla FC".
