Nolito started off his post-match comments by speaking about VAR: "We can't do anything about this - the referee is the one in charge. There were a few parts of the game where we had chances but they escaped us by the smallest of margins. This is football and at the top end of the game, the smallest margins make the biggest differences. We've another tough game on Thursday and then again next Sunday. We have to keep going, correct our mistakes and keep the confidence".
NOLITO: "IN MY HEAD, I SAW THAT WE WON"
Nolito gave his opinion on what happened with the VAR decision: "The explanation he gave was that his co-worker told him it was a red, but he decided to give a foul and show a yellow. I don't think that the rules say this, but we can't do anything about it. Then, the foul was given. We're still right in the hunt, we can achieve our objectives and there's still a lot to play for. We know what it will take to win and we have to recover the faith and the intensity that we had".
He believed that the team deserved all three points, but it wasn't to be: "I had it in my head. I thought we had won because they had a player less and we tried to get the third by all means possible. We will all take this away with us and on Thursday, we must get back to winning ways. We're going to have to give it everything from now until the end of the season".
