Sevilla FC and FC Spartak Moscow have reached an agreement for the transfer of Quincy Anton Promes to the Nervionenses for the next five seasons. Promes, a Dutch international winger aged 26, was developed in the youth ranks of AFC Ajax and joined FC Twente in 2009. He made his debut with Twente in the 11/12 season at just 20 years old. Though he reached the first round of the Europa League with the Club one season later, he made the decision to transfer to Go Ahead Eagles, where he scored 17 goals and made 11 assists in a promotion season to Eredivisie. His strong performances prompted a return to FC Twente in the 13/14 season, scoring eleven goals and making eight assists in 31 appearances.

His consistency in front of goal and his debut with the Dutch national team drew attention from foreign leagues, with Promes making the move to Spartak Moscow in the summer of 2014He wasted no time adapting to Russian football, scoring 18 goals and making eight assists in 32 appearances. In the 16/17 season he returned to the Europa League briefly, though in a losing effort in qualification against AEK Larnaca. Promes would score 12 goals and make ten assists in the same season. This was the year of his first title, the Russian League, though a fantastic 17/18 season also awaited.

It was in this campaign that Promes would debut in the Champions League, a competition in which he would score two goals, both against Sevilla FC in Moscow. Domestically, he was the top scorer in the Russian Premier Division, scoring 15 goals in 26 matches. He found the net three times in the Russian Cup and once in the Super Cup. To round off his achievements, this past December he was named the best player of the Russian Division for 2017. This season, he has had the time to play five matches in the league and two Champions League qualifying fixtures - scoring in both competitions. He has also maintained consistent importance internationally, appearing at U19, U20, U21 and senior level. In the senior ranks he has picked up 28 caps and scored five goals, making him a regular in the team.
