Reservations were clear following the first-leg of Sevilla's Q3 qualification tie with Zalgiris, though any doubts were put firmly to bed this evening in Vilnius - Machín's side coming through comfortably against Zalgiris to qualify for the Europa League's playoff round. In a dream start that saw goals inside ten minutes from Nolito and Sarabia, Sevilla proved dominant, with Sarabia continuing his magnificent run of form to all but kill the game before half-time with a third. With room to rotate in the second-half, substitute Guilherme Arana would have an impact from the bench, finding Sevilla's fourth on the night (his first goal for Sevilla), before Nolito rounded off the scoring.

The visitors' determination to avoid complications was apparent from the very first minute, with the Nervionenses flying out the blocks to break the deadlock on five minutes. Not two minutes later they would double the lead, all but putting themselves out of sight of the Lithuanian hosts. In the very first attack of the game, Sarabia would link up well with Ben Yedder, who selflessly found Nolito with space in the penalty box, there to apply a simple finish. A minute later, Vidal would be there to set up Sarabia, who would give the keeper no chance when making it two

Two goals and an assist from Sarabia made sure the winger's fine form continued

Sevilla were attacking at will, more through momentum than necessity. Nolito would have a clear chance to find his brace early but Bartkus would deny him well. His opposite number would not be without his work to do, having to deny the hosts more than once to keep his clean sheet. With a chance to change the course of the tie, Antal would fail to find a way past the new signing, and it wouldn't be long before Sevilla punished the missed opportunity. Finding a yard of space on the edge of the box, Sarabia would unleash a rocket and find his second of the night. 0-3 by half-time and Sevilla looking good.

Machín capitalised on his team's heavy lead: taking the chance to rest key players for the start of La Liga this Sunday. Bringing on Arana for Escudero and Muriel for Sarabia, the manager took no chances over fitness or injuries. Also looking to the bench, Zalgiris sat deep, looking to control the damage already done by Machín's men. Berrocal would replace Banega early in the second-half to complete Sevilla's round of substitutions, allowing Carriço to push up ahead of the centre-backs. Zalgiris had by no means given in, however, forcing good saves out of Vaclík and even hitting the bar from range.

Nonetheless, the hosts were powerless to Sevilla's attacking prowess when the Nervionenses turned on the gas. With just ten minutes to go, Guilherme Arana would widen the deficit even further, scoring his first ever Sevilla goal in magnificent fashion. Three minutes later, Nolito would make it five - finding his brace with another fine finish from the edge of Zalgiris' box.

A rout to see Sevilla through to the qualification play-offs of the Europa League and a promising performance with La Liga looming. The European nights will continue thick and fast, with Sevilla hosting Sigma Olomouc next Thursday. First, they will need to turn their attentions to Rayo Vallecano - who open the team's league campaign this Sunday in Madrid. Five-star preparation in Lithuania!
