SEVILLA FC FOUNDATION PARTICIPATES IN THE CLEANING OF THE GUADALQUIVIR RIVER

A total of 160 volunteers have participated this Wednesday in a litter pick on the bank of the Guadalquivir river organised by Chelonia and Coca-Cola with the support of the Sevilla FC Foundation. Also alongside the Santiponce council, the port of Seville, the hydrological institute of Guadalquivir, Parque del Almaillo, the Sevilla hospitality school. the Real Betis Balompié foundation, Serenísima Iberia, ESIC and Proyecto Hombre.

Together with Antonio Álvarez, director of the Sevilla FC Foundation, he was supported by the captains of Sevilla FC Women, Nagore Calderón and Lucía Ramírez. This initiative, which belongs to the programme 'Mares Ciculares', managed to collect a total of 986 kilos of waste, amongst which 85kg of plastic and 510kg of glass. The plastic will be turned into something of use again by Coca-Cola as part of its roadmap to a more sustainable economy. 

'Mares Circualres' is an online project created by Coca-Cola in Spain and Portugal and jointly financed by the Coca-Cola Foundation to clean coasts, aquatic environments and areas, increase awareness about recycling practices and the development of a more sustainable economy. .
