On Thursday Sevilla Yassine Bono became a centurion with Sevilla FC. The Moroccan goalkeeper, who this week signed a contract extension until June 2025, rounded off an important week for him with the result in Valencia last night against Levante UD that allowed Sevilla to keep on track for their European aim.

The goalkeeper was born in Montreal but became a Moroccan citizen and has played a total of 66 games in La Liga, 8 in the Copa del Rey, 11 in the Champions League, 14 in the Europa League and an appearance in the European Super Cup, playing a total of 9,143 minutes in a Sevilla shirt and even scoring a goal against Valladolid. Without doubt, the performances of Bono since he arrived from Girona FC in the summer of 2019 have grown and grown. Proof of this is that after the injury to Vaclík, Julen Lopetegui gave him a starting birth after lockdown for the final phase of the UEFA Europa League in Germany. He then had great performances in that semi-final against Manchester United, in which he was crucial to securing passage through to the final against Inter Milan, a game in which he shined to help the team lift their sixth title.

The Moroccan has been resolute with key performances in many historic games

During this season, the Sevilla goalkeepers has played 28 league games and 10 in Europe (6 in the UCl and 4 in the UEL). Overall and with the 50 clean sheets that he also reached recently, it confirms the commitment of a player who still has a journey at the club in Nervión after his latest agreement.
