The goalkeeper spoke about the draw: "The second half wasn't good from us, but it's a point against Atlético"

Tomas Vaclík was the hero during the match, and spoke to the media after the draw against Atlético. "We made a very positive start to the game. The second half wasn't good from us but it's a point against Atlético, who are one of the best teams in the league". Moreover, he also shared some of his secrets on his penalty save from Diego Costa: "I always watch the opposing team's penalties before each game, and a lot of it is down to the work of José Silva".

Speaking about Lopetegui's tactical alteration with the three centre-midfielders, Vaclík said: "It was a good idea from the gaffer and the coaching team. It was difficult for Gudelj, but he's tactically very astute and he had a great game".

Even though the team didn't win, picking up any sort of points against tough rivals is always important: "This season is proving difficult, as Barcelona lost away to Levante, we lost away to Eibar... We have 21 points, and now we have a massive week coming up with a Europa League game and the derby. We're going to keep going and fighting hard to keep our league position strong".
