The Sánchez-Pizjuán was chosen ahead of the Boris Paichadze in Tbilisi

After naming the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán the hosts of the 2021 UEFA Europa League final on the 24th September, UEFA have now confirmed the exact date of the match: it will be played on Wednesday 26th May 2021.

UEFA opted for the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán over the Boris Paichadze in Tbilisi in the final round, choosing the stadium with the most Europa League trophies in its trophy cabinet, one for each Sevilla FC win (2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016).
