Those who started yesterday did recovery work in the gym, while the rest trained on the pitch at the training ground
There's no time to relax for Sevilla FC. After Saturday's important win over Real Sociedad in Nervión, the team were back in training this morning ahead of Tuesday's match at the Wanda Metropolitano, where the Nervionenses will play one of their games in hand. In this case, it is the Matchday 1 fixture against Atlético de Madrid.
As with all training sessions on the day after a match, Julen Lopetegui led a session which saw those who started in yesterday's match training in the gym, after an initial talk from the manager. Those who did not feature trained on the pitch at the Jesús Navas Stadium, while Chairman José Castro, Vice Chairman Del Nido Carrasco and Monchi watched on.
Julen Lopetegui will have one more training session, on Monday, to prepare for the trip to the Spanish capital to face Simeone's side. Their match this weekend against Athletic Club was postponed due to the weather, with heavy snow in Madrid covering the pitch at the Wanda Metropolitano.
