Sevilla FC and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have reached an agreement in principle for the loan signing of Thomas Delaney, meaning that the Danish midfielder will leave Sevilla until the end of the current season. Delaney, who arrived from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, leaves after having played a total of 48 games in the Sevilla shirt since his arrival (34 in LaLiga, 2 in the Copa del Rey, 8 in the Champions League and 3 in the Europa League, with 12 games played this season).

In this period, the Dane managed to score two goals, both away from home. Specifically, on 11 December 2021 at San Mamés to give his side the victory (0-1), as well as on 13 March 2022 at Vallecas against Rayo (1-1). In addition, Delaney was one of Sevilla's representatives at the last World Cup in Qatar, although he had to leave the Danish national team early due to injury.

Ludwig Agustinsson, Sevilla FC player on loan at Aston Villa in England, will also have a new club in the winter transfer window. The Swedish left-back will end his loan period in England and leave, also on loan to RCD Mallorca. For the English side, Augustinsson has only played in five matches, three in the Premier League, one in the FA Cup and one in the EFL Cup.
