Just a few days before the start of one of the biggest cultural festivals in Asia, Chinese New Year, Sevilla FC and Valvoline, the club's official sponsor, have drawn up a series of actions that will be carried out this Saturday, coinciding with the match between Sevilla FC and RC Celta, to wish the fans in that country a happy Chinese New Year. As a novelty for this match, the players will take to the field wearing an official shirt with two substantial changes: their names and the Valvoline logo will appear in Chinese characters. The latter will also be retained for the match. Following the order of events, after the end of the anthem and after shaking hands with the opposing team, the starting eleven will have their traditional photo taken, but this time the stand behind which they pose, which usually displays the slogan Never Surrender - will also be in Chinese script.
In addition, during the warm-up and at some stages of the match, a message of greetings in Chinese from Sevilla FC will be displayed on the LED advertising perimeter of the pitch: Sevilla Fútbol Club wishes the Chinese people around the world a happy Chinese New Year and a prosperous Year of the Tiger. A few days ago it was announced that, as part of its international expansion strategy, Sevilla FC had launched its profile on the Chinese social media platform Douyin, and these new actions will serve to reinforce and enhance the presence of the Sevilla FC brand in China, one of the countries where interest in football has grown the most in recent years.
