SEVILLA LOOK TO END THE SEASON ON A HIGH AGAINST OSASUNA

With fourth place and Champions League football assured, Sevilla will be hoping for a winning end to the season in front of their fans at the Sánchez-Pizjuán

On Saturday night Sevilla FC will bring their 16/17 league campaign to a close against Osasuna at the Sánchez-Pizjuán. With fourth place assured, they will be looking to end the season on 72 points and with 14 home wins.

Osasuna, although already relegated, and despite their poor record away to Sevilla, will be hoping to avoid finishing the season bottom of the table.

From Sevilla's point of view, however, with all due respect to the side from Pamplona, the match will, to an extent at least, be an opportunity to celebrate the team qualifying for Europe yet again - a reward for an excellent campaign which could see Los Nervionenses finish with their second best points total in history.

Casting their minds back to the pulsating season opener at the Sánchez-Pizjuán back in August (a 6-4 win against Espanyol), the fans will be hoping for an equally scintilating attacking performance.

They they might get their way, with the likes of Ben Yedder (11 goals and 3 assists), Sarabia (8 and 8) and Jovetic (6 and 5) all available.

Osasuna have traditionally struggled at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. Sevilla have won the last five games between the two sides in Nervión and kept a clean sheet in four of them. The last time Osasuna went away with three points was 11 years ago, when they won 1-0.

This season Osasuna have won just twice away from home - on both occasions in the Basque country - against Eibar (3-2) and Alavés (1-0). Petar Vasiljević's side have conceded 89 goals the season, 50 of which have come away from home.

Last time out, Sevilla twice came from behind to beat Osasuna 4-3 at Estadio El Sadar. Vicente Iborra was on the scoresheet three times - one of which was an own goal - before Pablo Sarabia snatched a late winner in January.

On Sunday, though, Osasuna will be without top-scorer (10) Sergio Léon who is suspended. Torres and Kodro, who have both scored seven goals this season, are available for selection, as is Riera who has registered for strikes in the 2016/17 campaign.

In goal for the visitors will be former Sevilla player Salvatore Sirigu.

Sunday's game represents the end of a successful season for Sevilla, and should the beat Osasuna, they will finish the campaogn with the second-highest points total in the club's history.
