A delegation from Sevilla FC led by the President, José Castro, went to the United States this week for the inauguration of the SFC Soccer Academy in New Jersey and Miami. Furthermore, the club has made use of the trip to visit La Liga's recently inaugurated office in New York, with José Castro, and the Advisor and Director of Marketing, Luis Galán and Ramón Loarte respectively, paying it a visit. They were received by the CEO, Boris Gartner.

The meeting was aimed at establishing a working relationship since football's growth in the United States is undeniable, with figures showing that it has a similar following to basketball among people between 18-35 years. Generational and population change is key in this respect, as the Hispanic population is making the interest in football increase. Sevilla FC realise that in the American continent, in particular the United States, there is a market in which there is a great interest in La Liga and Sevilla FC, only being behind Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in the clubs who excite the most interest in the country. According to a study by Nielsen Sport, more than 20 million Americans recognise the brand Sevilla FC and some 10 million watched a match involving the Nervionenses in the past La Liga season

The creation of this new La Liga office could become a great platform to create, along with the club, a structure which increases their influence in the United States. The club's objective is none other than moving the passion with which Sevilla FC lives for football into such a strong and emerging market.
