Sevilla FC and Olympiacos FC have reached an agreement for the loan of Rony Lopes for the upcoming season. He will join his ex-Sevilla teammate, goalkeeper Tomas Vaclík, as well as fellow Portuguese, coach Pedro Martins at the Greek club. There is an option to sign permanently at the end of the season.

Rony Lopes arrived at Sevilla in the summer of 2019 from AS Monaco, making 14 appearances as a Sevilla player. He played seven times in the Europa League, five times in LaLiga Santander and twice in the Copa del Rey. The following season, he went on loan to OGC Nice, where he featured in 28 league games, scoring three times and creating one assist. He also featured once in the Europa League with the Ligue 1 team, as well as making one appearance in the French Cup, scoring twice. Sevilla FC wish him the best of luck in this new chapter in his career.
