Finishing touches and improvements on the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán have been on the cards thanks to a lack of football during the international break. With no home football for practically three weeks, work has gone ahead for the renovation of the roof of the Preferencia stand. The roof was first installed for the 1982 World Cup but given the access problems, has been left more or less untouched since then.

With lifelines in place to secure and facilitate the operations the of construction workers, work goes ahead in the reinforcing of nuts and bolts and the sealing of water escapes. To finish up, the roof will be painted as new.
