The preview of...

Real Valladolid-Sevilla FC, our 34th match of the season in LaLiga Santander, that will take place in the Estadio José Zorrilla, kick off at 18:30.

Standings

Sevilla FC go into the match in 11th place on 44 points, four points away from a UEFA Conference League position. The home team are on 35 points, one above the relegation zone as they lie in 17th place.

The last three fixtures between Valladolid-Sevilla

In the 2018/2019 season, Roque Mesa and Munir El Haddadi scored to secure a win for Sevilla six minutes from time. In the 2019/2020 campaign, Banega netted from the spot which proved to be the only goal and led to another victory for Sevilla. A season later, Bono heroically equalised in added time with the home side having led through Orellana's penalty.

Squads

Of note is Tecatito's return, with José Luis Mendilibar naming 20 players in the squad to travel to Valladolid. The manager from the Basque Country could not call upon Suso, Ocampos, Nianzou, Marcao nor Joan Jordán. Paulo Pezzolano has to make do without Amallah, Anuar and Luis Pérez, who are all injured.

Referee

Miguel Ángel Ortiz Arias, from Madrid, will referee Sevilla FC for the first time this season. In the past, our record when he has been the referee is two victories. He has only officiated Real Valladolid once, which ended in a defeat for them as they lost to Alavés in the Third Round of the Copa del Rey this season.
