The demands of football mean that nothing is ever enough. After more than two months unbeaten, Thursday's dead-rubber defeat away at APOEL Nicosia is still a warning shot to Sevilla FC, and now it is time to get back to winning ways. Despite drawing in Pamplona last week, at a ground where Osasuna had seemed almost unbeatable for a long time, Sevilla felt they should have picked up all three points after a very strong finish to the game.

Villarreal travel to Nervión looking to prove their credentials despite their position in the table. After last season's hardships, Calleja's side began this season well, but their current winless run means that the Yellow Submarine are back in the bottom half of the table. The Castellonenses have now gone six matches without winning, but the two points that they have picked up in this spell were important draws at home to Athletic Club de Bilbao and Atlético Madrid.

The Yellows have picked up just 2 points from the last possible 18

Their form away from home is shaky. They have won twice, against Leganés and Espanyol, and have not won any points since that win at Cornellá-El Prat, on 20th October. Since then they have lost all three matches, at Eibar, Mallorca and Valencia. It is a tough position for a side that is meant to be at least competing for a European spot. They will look to make up for that at the Sánchez-Pizjuán tomorrow, a ground where they are also winless in six, although they have managed to draw in four of those encounters.

Cazorla appeared to have recovered from his injury, but he has been left out of the travelling squad

In the end, Santi Cazorla will not feature due to injury, nor will Bruno Soriano, Alberto Moreno and Ramiro Guerra. However, ex-Sevillistas Vicente Iborra and Carlos Bacca will travel to Andalusia. There is very little news regarding Sevilla's squad. Nolito is still injured, Ocampos is serving the final match of his suspension, while Pozo, Sergi Gómez and Bryan, who all started in midweek in Nicosia, have all been left out of the squad. Sevilla are looking to win again at home and pull clear of the chasing pack for third place.

Adrián Cordero Vega, from Cantabria, is tomorrow's referee. Curiously, it is the first time he will referee a Sevilla match, despite the fact that tomorrow's game is his 27th in the top flight. Last season he refereed 18 matches, while this will be his 9th of the season. José Luis González González is in charge of VAR.
