Pablo Machín said after the victory against Akhisarspor: 'When the players are satisfied the coach also has to be satisfied. That's not to say we're anything different from what we were before.'

He also highlighted the roles of some of his players before providing a more general analysis: 'The strikers scored, Roque Mesa opened the scoring, Aleix played a great match. The players are demonstrating that they want to be and feel involved in the team. We have to keep building on what we have.'

Sevilla's manager also underlined the fortitude of the players in such a convincing win: 'Football is a sport where if you have a bad day and the opponents have a good one, anything can happen. We started the match well and from there the team didn't ease off, respecting the opponent. We've achieved the biggest win in the history of the club in Europe and that's gratifying.'

To conclude, Machín did not hide his desire to enjoy Sevilla's favourite competition: 'I like all the competitions but I feel privileged to be able to compete in this one and I want to make the most of it. It's the most beloved competition among the Sevillistas.'
