It is now 365 days since Julen Lopetegui put pen to paper and became the Sevilla FC manager. In all this time, it has been clear that the coach from Asteasu has earned everyone's trust in Nervion, with the results showing a solid Sevilla FC. These figures have allowed the team to keep its objectives alive for the end of the season in this atypical 2020.

Of the 39 official matches played so far, the team has managed to win 21 of them, drawing another 10 and counting only eight losses. With the exception of Miranda de Ebro, where the team was unable to advance further in the revamped Copa del Rey, the rest of the competitions have fulfilled what the Basque manager had in mind when he started, that idea of "working to give the fans something to be proud of".

At his unveiling, the manager promised "to work to give the fans something to be proud of"

And with pride and perseverance, he must continue on a path that already has the road map laid out for the league's resumption. Sitting high in third place, it is necessary to take into account everything done so far, by a team that knew how to understand Julen Lopetegui's philosophy and to find the hallmarks that the manager and his coaching staff were demanding from the start.

It can therefore be considered that that gamble, with Monchi also returning home, has had a very positive first calendar year, with many possibilities between now and the end of the season to finish "as high as possible", as pointed out by the man from San Fernando, and already thinking about a more than promising future with Lopetegui.
