Every match has been a colourful one. Since Ocampos made that miraculous save off the line from Dimitrovic's reboundthe Sevilla FC goalkeepers have had very little work to do. Of course, there is one thing that is clear. The defensive soundness of the Nervionenses cannot be doubted by anyone, and the statistics from recent matches backs that up.

It is not just that the percentage of matches with a clean sheet is continuing to rise, this Sevilla side have nearly forgotten what it is like to concede a goal. In the 52 official matches so far this season, the Blanquirrojos have kept an astonishing 26 clean sheets, meaning they have kept clean sheets in exactly half of their matches.

Clean sheets in 50% of our matches this season, 26 in 52 official matches

Looking at the last eight matches, however, reveals an even more stunning statistic. In the last eight matches, consisting of the final six LaLiga matches of the season and the two UEFA Europa League clashes in Germanythe team have conceded just one goal. That came at the San Mamés on 9th July, but Banega and Munir turned the match on its head to secure a win.

The team went into that match in the Basque Country with two clean sheets against Leganés and Eibar, but since that goal from Ander Capa, the Blanquirrojos have five consecutive clean sheetsMallorcaReal SociedadValenciaRoma and Wolves were all unable to score against Sevilla, who still want more.
