THREAT TO CLOSE 1,000 SÁNCHEZ-PIZJUÁN SEATS IN EUROPE

Sevilla have expelled the club member who was racist in the game against Manchester City which was the cause of this sanction.

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) has made the decision to fine Sevilla FC €5000 euros and threatened the closure of at least 1000 seats at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán following the racist behaviour of one of its supporters at the Etihad Stadium on November 2nd against Manchester City in the Champions League  

 

Sevilla FC, had already identified the fan through its security department, which opened an investigation that concluded with his expulsion as a member, which he had been for two months. The threat of closure will be carried out if in the next two years similar behaviour occurs. Sevilla FC condemned the incident one day after the match and thanks to the recordings provided by Manchester City, have been able to identify the fan  

The club would like to put on record its commitment to zero tolerance for any discriminatory conduct that takes place both in its stadium and away. Likewise, the club has never had any racist of xenophobic episodes at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium and its fines, both home and away, have always been involved in the fight against racism
