Manchester United are into the semi finals of the UEFA Europa Leaguewhich they will play on Sunday at 21:00 CET. They will face the winners of tomorrow's clash between Sevilla FC and Wolves. Ole Gunnar Solskjær's men put in a very hard-fought performance to beat the Danish side. After an even 90 minutes with clear cut chances few and far between, a Bruno Fernandes penalty was enough for the Red Devils to progress, with a key performance from Juan Mata off the bench. The opposition goalkeeper, Johnsson, kept the scoreline to a minimum.

The English side progressed from Group L as group winners, beating Dutch side AZ, Partizan Belgrade and Kazakh side FC Astana to the prize with four wins, a draw and a loss, scoring ten and conceding two, to reach 13 points. In the Round of 16 they beat LASK over two legs, with a 0-5 win in Austria and a 2-1 win at Old Trafford saw them progress 7-1 against the Austrians.

Although it remains to be seen whether Julen Lopetegui's men will play on Sunday in search of a sixth Europa League final, it is worth remembering the one European match between both sides. Without counting friendlies, the only match between the two sides will remain in the memory of every Sevillista, the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie in 2017/18. After a goalless draw in Nervión in February, the second leg in March was historic, as the Nervionenses won at the Theatre of Dreams with a Wissam Ben Yedder brace (1-2), which was enough to send them into the quarter final for the only time in recent years.

So, Solskjær's side, who finished third in the Premier League, are now waiting to see what will happen in less than 24 hours at the MSV Arena in Duisburg, as they await to find out who their opponents will be.
