Pablo Machín spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow's match with Levante UD. He spoke about re-finding the form of the team's first La Liga fixture: "We want to be that team we were in Vallecas again. We started very well and we have to show again that we're a dominant team that wants to win from the very first moment - but always being clear that we're playing against an opponent that will try to implement their game".

"We shouldn't be scared of anything and I respect a lot. We have to be used to changing the mentality from Europe to La Liga and above all competing well to try and win and change the dynamic of points slipping away".

On the accumulation of injuries he said: "we come in with the condition of having the injuries we've suffered. They are a lot of matches we play every week and we'll have to overcome this little more than we bargained for. There are players who might have to give a bit more than they are now and the line of work will continue the same. When we see the injured players get back on the field we'll start to think about when they can be ready to help us, but they're all long-term processes".

"Levante are a very well-drilled team with positive momentum from last year. They have fast players and I emphasise Morales especially, who has found second life. We'll have to be careful of his directness and counters".

Machín was also asked about Muriel, who makes the squad: "You have to decide on the basis of many issues. He came back late with his international squad and as we had more alternatives up top, we decided to leave him out of some games. He's a good player and he's going to have his moments to help the team. I'm sure he'll make the most of them".

Finally, the coach talked about possible options in the face of injuries: "We have a plan A and then we have a plan B if circumstances dictate. We have a gap in the centre of midfield and we'll try to put out a balanced team".
