Sevilla FC's manager, Julen Lopetegui, spoke about the hard-fought victory over CD Leganés at Sunday lunchtime: "It was tough, just like they all are. It was an even game and because it's the first division, it takes blood, sweat and tears to win. Leganés were playing for their lives. In the first half we had our chances, and we played to our game plan. In the second half, they made life tricky for us and we lost control of the game. They started to push further forward. When we scored, we didn't remain calm afterwards. We didn't want to end the game in the manner we did but, sometimes, that's the way it goes".

"We don't have to make mistakes, we have to improve. We should have had more of a rhythm to our game and had more chances to score. Sometimes, it's not all great when you win, neither is it all bad when you lose. Now, we have to start thinking about Pamplona".

Lopetegui made it clear that now "we have a week of work to improve on certain things and be ready for another titanic battle next Sunday. We will have a look at what we need to work on and correct as a team. We've got to get down to work".

On his substitutes, he said: "Bryan and Nemanja were key. They gave us what we needed. The game could have went a different way, but we didn't have control and therefore we decided to make these changes".
