LOPETEGUI: "WE'VE ELIMINATED A GOOD SIDE"

"I'm sure that we'll remember this game"

Julen Lopetegui spoke to the media after his side's progress through to the UEFA Europa League Last 16 last night: "The important thing was the qualification for the next round. We deserved to go through in the end; but as the game went on they grew and had their opportunity - even though it was rightly ruled out. We've eliminated a good side: the objective was to be in the Last 16".

He once again spoke about the importance of knocking out the Romanian side: "The goal was to go through and we did it, even though it wasn't easy. They grew stronger as we missed numerous chances. We go through deservingly but we must remember that Cluj had also knocked out good sides. I'm sure that we'll remember this game".

To finish off, Lopetegui spoke about the game against CA Osasuna on Sunday: "Tomorrow we'll see how we are and then we will have to prepare for Osasuna, because it will be a demanding game and we will have to be prepared".
