Jesús Navas continues to break what seems like every record that is put in his way at Sevilla FC. On Saturday evening, as soon as the first whistle was blown at the beginning of the encounter against Atlético Madrid, Jesús Navas had overtook Manolo Jiménez as the Sevilla FC player who has played the most games in the top flight - as he made his 355th appearance.

Only a month ago, Jesús Navas overtook another two Sevilla legends in this table, namely: Juan Arza and Campanal II, who both made 349 appearances. The man who wears the number 16 for Sevilla, and who made his debut in La Liga on the 23rd November 2003 against Espanyol in Barcelona, has reached appearance number 70 in his second spell at the Nervión side, after his return during the 2017/18 season.

In 355 top flight games, Navas has scored 25 times and made 71 assists

Before his transfer to Manchester City, Navas played 285 games for Sevilla in La Liga. His record over his two spells at the club show that he has scored 25 goals, and made 71 assists. Navas is closely approaching another series of records that, without doubt, he will break during this season as the captain of Sevilla FC.

Overall, Jesús Navas has played in 492 official games over his entire career as a Sevilla FC player: taking into account the UEFA Europa League, Copa del Rey, Champions League, Spanish Super Cups and European Super Cups - in addition to his La Liga exploits. Adding up the goals and assists he has made in these competitions to the ones he has managed in La Liga, we see that he has scored 39 goals and made 96 assists during his Sevilla FC career.
