Rafa Mir, Marcos Acuña and Yassine Bono spoke after the defeat against Real Madrid. The first to speak after what happened at the Santiago Bernabéu was the Sevilla goal scorer on the night who said that "despite the effort of the team, it is painful but we have to use it to learn and cut out errors for the long season that we have. Personally, I know that we are going to attack and continue working for each other. There is no other option than to continue the work that we have been doing and looking ahead to the cup, a competition that we are very hopeful of winning."

In turn, the Sevilla left-back valued the effort of his teammates despite their final disappointment. "We generally played really well but we knew that they have very good individuals and we both had chances, which they took and we didn't. The game was going really well but individual mistakes allowed this to happen. Personally, I think I played well and as a group we think we deserved more."

To finish, Bono analysed his own personal performance, talking about the errors committed despite the excellent work of the team that deserved something more. "The team deserved more after playing a complete match. We started well, then the mistake for the first goal happened but we continued in the game and in the second half I think that we made a mistake wanting to play out from the back and they took advantage with the goal from Vinicius. The levels of the team today deserved more than zero points, beyond the second goal, the game was marked by mistakes and we couldn't take advantage. We continue moving forward with this quality of football and improving how to convert these moments in games. You have to convert these moments in the game which can tip the balance from one side to another.
