The Serbian international made his willingness "to play wherever the boss needs" clear
Nemanja Gudelj was officially presented as Sevilla FC this afternoon. After signing the contract that will keep him at the Club for the next four seasons, he declared his happiness to a full press room at the Sánchez-Pijzuán: "I feel very happy to be here. The process has been quite hard, it is not easy to negotiate with Chinese Clubs, but everything went very well".
The Serbian footballer talked about adapting to a league which he has always had on his bucket list: "I played in Eredivisie, China and Sporting. For me this league is one of the best in the world, I'm happy to play at Sevilla and I hope to win as much as possible".
When asked about his impressive grasp of Spanish, the player explained his father's previous experience in in the country: "When I was little I lived in Spain, my father played in Logroñés, I lived there and I learnt the language at school".
"The Club wants to achieve the maximum possible"
He went on to speak about Club ambitions and his first contact with Monchi: "The club wants to achieve the very maximum. Monchi is doing a very good job, I know De Jong. When Monchi called me I told my agent that I only wanted to go to Sevilla FC because it's a very big club and I'm going to do my best there".
To finish up, he commented on which position he feels most suited to: "Wherever the coach needs, I'll be there. At Sporting I played as a 6, the only pivot in front of the defence".
