On Friday Gilberto Navarro Peidró passed away in his home in Granada at 83 years of age. Navarro, who played for Sevilla between 1958-1961, was born in Alcoy and arrived at Sevilla the season before we made our debut in the European Cup and played seven official games in it, scoring three goals. Internationally, he played the Mediterranean Cup in 1958 with Spain B. Navarro left in 1961 to go to RCD Mallorca and would later finish his career back at Granada CF.

Everyone at Sevilla FC sends their most sincere condolences to Gilberto's friends and family. May he rest in peace.
