The midfielder, who started against CD Leganés on Sunday, was happy after a victory where the team had to suffer in order to win

Franco Vázquez spoke to the media after Sunday afternoon's win over CD Leganés in the Sánchez-Pizjuán: "It's a vital win. We needed to win today and we're delighted to do so, even though we suffered a lot towards the end. We knew it was going to be a tough match, and that they would sit back. We played well in the first half, had a lot of chances but we weren't able to get the goal that would have given us breathing space and made us control the second half a lot better. However, it's a win and keeps us moving forward".

"We did everything up until the goal. The last part of the game we were under pressure. They tried their luck with long-shots and big lads up top which complicated things for us a little. The team held on to their lead well". Vázquez played the last few minutes as a false nine: "I have to help the team wherever I play and in the last few minutes, I did that as a centre-forward. One is always happy when you get to wear this jersey, and it's even better when you win".
