Franco Vázquez spoke to official media after Sunday's win at home to Real Sociedad: "It was important to win after two straight defeats and even more so at home, where we have to be strong. We've played really well and it is a shame that it was only 3-2, it made us a bit nervous".
The match at Ipurúa was tough to take, and it was important to win the first game back: "Thursday's defeat was particularly painful as we were 2-0 up. It was important to get today's win especially with the APOEL game on Thursday. When you lose, you start to have a few doubts, but we've shown that we feel good and we're strong. This was a really good win for us".
The Argentine came off the bench and scored his second goal in Nervión this season: "I had a few minutes at the end, the ball fell kindly for me and that bought us some breathing space. Then Real Sociedad pulled one back and it was a pain. Maybe I'm not having as many minutes as you would normally want, but when it's my turn to play I will always give it my all". And finally, he spoke about the match against APOEL: "We need to take a step forward in the Europa League. We want to win against at home and it will be a difficult match. We have to go out and be strong straight away".
