FRANCO VÁZQUEZ REACHES 100 LALIGA MATCHES FOR SEVILLA FC

In Sunday's match against Levante UD at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, Franco Vázquez played in his 100th LaLiga in the Sevilla jersey. The midfielder came off the bench in the 80th minute, replacing Chicharito, as Lopetegui was looking for that final ball that would create a chance. It wasn't quite the final ball, but the second to last ball. Mudo released Jesús Navas down the right hand side, and his cross was turned home by Luuk De Jong to secure all three points on Vázquez's hundreth match.

The Argentine, who arrived at Nervión in the 2016/17 summer transfer window while Jorge Sampaoli was in charge, has reached his 100th league match with his sixth league match under Julen Lopetegui this season. In total, Vázquez has played 6,320 minutes, with his best season coming in 2018/19 where he played 2,284. 

His 34 LaLiga appearances in 2018/19 is the most he has played in one season

The man from Tanti, who has practically had three equal seasons in terms of participation, had his best season in 2018/19 under Machín and Caparrós with 34 appearances in the league, beating the 30 appearances he managed in both 2016/17 and 2017/18 under Sampaoli, Berizzo, Montella and Caparrós. 

His 100 appearances have brought up 16 goals and 12 assists. His most prolific season in front of goal came in 2016/17 with 7 goals, while his best season for assists came in 2017/18 with 6 assists. He also scored on his debut for Sevilla, in a frenetic 6-4 home win against Espanyol

Sevilla pick up an average of 1.74 points per league match when Mudo is on the pitch

The Argentine has scored on 3 occasions against Leganés and Osasuna, twice against Málaga, and once against Villarreal, Athletic, Barcelona, Rayo, Levante, Betis, Celta and Real Sociedad. A curious stat is that Sevilla pick up an average of 1.74 points when he plays, which reaches 2.1 points per match during Sampaoli's reign as manager.

Franco Vázquez could well hit another milestone in the next couple of days, as he is close to reaching 150 matches in all competitions.
