The President of the club stressed that "I couldn't miss this event. José Antonio is a Sevilla FC legend and I have enormous ties with his familywith his fatherwith whom I played football and with whom we grew up together in this blessed town of Utrera, and because we are aware of what this family is suffering. As far as possible, we want to give them the maximum support and we do so continuously with everyone, alleviating the pain in some way, if that is possible, because we know how difficult it is. We may be prepared to see our parents die but never our children".

"We will always be there for them because Sevilla FC will owe Reyes forever for what he did for this club", stated José Castro

"What he did, what he was able to produce, what he was able to create at Sevilla FC, as well as at other clubs, but above all here, at the club where he became a footballer and triumphed and gave us titles... Sevilla FC will owe Reyes foreverso their President will always be there for thembecause we have lost a very important person and we have come here to say a prayer and to pray for his soul".

The President concluded by saying that: "I have felt a lot of pain in front of his grave next to his father, just like him, who lives to visit him every day. Those of us who are his friends, run the club and as Sevillistas we can only feel pain because we have lost a cheerful, talkative person and an extraordinary footballer who gave us so much".
